The tool used for plastic injection molding is called a mold or a plastic injection mold.  The mold is made from a combination of steel plates and other components coupled to form an overall mold which is then installed in an injection machine for the production of plastic parts.

BridgeNorth has experience with numerous types of plastic injection molds including multi-plate and multi-cavity.  For prototypes and small runs, other specialized molds such as MUD (master unit die) or aluminum class 105/104 can be manufactured.
